Where it all began.

The Story of Muller Farms

Welcome to Muller Farms, a dream brought to life in the scenic countryside of Franklin, Vermont. Our 100-acre regenerative farm is the result of years of vision, hard work, and a shared commitment to providing our community with food they can trust.

Cane Corso Puppy on raw diet

Our journey began during the uncertainty of the pandemic. Like many, we found ourselves questioning the reliability of the U.S. food system. What started as a quest to feed our new Cane Corso puppy, Boone, a healthier raw diet quickly turned into a broader realization: the grocery store meats we had relied on were full of hidden preservatives, fillers, antibiotics, and, worst of all, came from animals raised in conditions far removed from anything natural or humane. It was an eye-opening moment that sparked a profound desire to change the way we ate—and eventually the way we lived.

For five years, we dreamed of owning a piece of land where we could raise our own food, care for animals with dignity, and regenerate the soil under our care. That dream seemed far-fetched for two first-time farmers: Donald, a local union pipe-fitter, and Jessica, a wedding photographer. But instead of letting it slip away, we got to work. We wrote over 60 hand-written letters to local landowners, looking for just the right opportunity.

When we finally found it, we sold everything we owned, bought an Airstream, and took the leap onto 100 raw acres of Vermont farmland—bringing with us our two cats (Bruce & Bellamy) and Boone, who never lets us forget he’s part of the team.

Starting a farm from scratch isn’t for the faint of heart. But we believe in the power of hard work, minimal equipment, and low overhead to make farming accessible—even for first-generation farmers like us. Every day is a mix of challenges and triumphs, whether it’s moving animals across fresh pasture, setting up a winter shelter, or navigating state regulations to protect the wetlands.

At Muller Farms, everything we do is guided by a commitment to regenerative farming. That means no shortcuts and no compromises. Our animals are raised on lush pastures, rotated regularly to keep the soil healthy and the land fertile. We work to eliminate harmful chemicals, reduce runoff, and ensure that the land we farm is healthier tomorrow than it is today. From pasture-raised poultry to grass-fed beef, from farm-fresh eggs to our pure Vermont maple syrup, every product we offer is grown with care and with a deep respect for the natural cycles of life.

But this farm is about more than just the food we produce. It’s about community. We believe that high-quality, ethically raised food shouldn’t be out of reach for anyone, and we’re dedicated to making it both affordable and accessible. It’s about setting an example, showing other first-time farmers that you don’t need massive equipment or a corporate budget to make a difference. And it’s about bridging the gap between people and the land, reconnecting families with where their food comes from.

Muller Farms is more than a farm; it’s a way of life. It’s proof that a dream, no matter how distant it seems, can be built with determination, hard work, and a lot of heart. Whether you’re here to learn, shop, or simply say hello, we’re excited to share our journey with you. Welcome to Muller Farms.
