Meet the Farmers

Nestled in the scenic countryside of Franklin, Vermont, the farm is the fulfillment of a five-year dream. Donald, a local union pipe-fitter, and Jessica, a wedding photographer, are first-generation farmers who pursued their vision after hand-writing over 60 letters to local landowners in search of the perfect place. When the opportunity arose, they sold their home, bought an Airstream, and moved onto a 100-acre farm with their two cats and Cane Corso, Boone.

Their journey into farming began during the pandemic, when they recognized the fragility of the U.S. food system. What started as a search for healthier food for themselves and their pets revealed the hidden preservatives, antibiotics, and fillers in grocery store meats as well as the often inhumane treatment of animals. Determined to raise food they could trust, they embraced regenerative farming practices to improve soil health, protect water sources, and eliminate harmful chemicals - and are excited to bring you along their journey.

The farm’s mission is to provide high-quality, ethically raised meats to the community—food that’s affordable, sustainable, and grown with care. Donald and Jessica also aim to show that first-time farmers can succeed with minimal equipment, low overhead, a lot of elbow grease, and a deep respect for the land.
